Welcome to DOREMIFUN music for kids! At DOREMIFUN we offer early childhood music and movement classes for children between 0 ~ 5. Because children learn best through play, our small group classes are packed with fun, and offer a developmental and sequential music education program while providing a safe environment for you and your child to interact in a cheerful and nurturing atmosphere.
Our voice is our first and natural instrument given to us at birth, and so these classes are based on carefully chosen traditional and contemporary songs, rhymes and listening games, coupled with dance and movement activities, simple percussion instruments, scarves, puppets and books, all designed to awaken children's sensitivity to fundamental musical concepts and to support their physical, spiritual, intellectual, emotional and social development.
Classes are based on recent child development research and on the internationally recognised Kodaly philosophy of music education, currently used in Qld primary school curriculums. Our classes are carefully structured to provide developmentally appropriate learning which will enhance the aural, speech and social development of your child, as well as laying excellent foundations for later instrumental studies. For more information on the Kodaly philosophy please visit www.kodaly.org.au/
Our aim is to help every child and parent develop a life-time love and appreciation of music and to keep alive vanishing but precious culture of "singing to our children".
